The ARB-L16-700U includes a protection circuit in the anode to help prevent short circuits, over charge/discharge and over heating. This battery can quickly be charged without the need for a separate charger. This not only saves you money from purchasing a charger, but you now have no need to carry around another piece of equipment with you. Simply plug the USB cord directly into the battery. A micro-USB charging cord is NOT included.
